A Little About Me ...

I was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, which is about 30 minutes from where Flight 93 crashed on that fateful day in September. I now make my home in Alabama with my husband of 32 years and our two adult children.

I became interested in embroidery and sewing at a very early age. My love for the two has carried into adulthood. My creativity led me to major in Commercial Art at the Vocational-Technical High School I attended. That's where I met my husband.

About a year after we were married, my husband went out to sea on a submarine and I knew I needed to find something to occupy my time. It was then that I discovered cross stitch. It helped the days go by a bit faster and gave me a creative outlet.

Little did I to know that all these years later, my love for needlework would lead me to organize these quilt projects. They are truly a work from the heart for all of those who participate. I feel honored to know so many wonderful people who are willing to contribute their talent to make these projects a reality.
